Zone 1: Shoebox Sized Garden - Implement
Stage 1 - Raised Beds
I knocked up the raised beds using wooden beams I salvaged from a skip on the same road I live on. Along with some bricks and concrete blocks to hold the beams and panels of wood in place. The soil level was raised with soil salvaged from the front garden. As the landlord had decided to concrete the front garden over due to the occupants down stairs not maintaining it.
Stage 2 - Water
I obtained a water barell from a friend at work. I had to go collect it from north London. I simply carried it back on the train. Did get a curios look from teh transport police as I got on the train. But they said hello, and I smiled.
With little time to spare during the work week I installed a Hozelock Aqua Control Water Computer Pro Water Timer. Which comes on for 5min four times per day in summer. The water is feed evenly at soil level only via weeper hose which is all covered with mulch. Also attached is a rain sensor which pauses watering if we've had some rain.

Stage 3 - Vertical GrowingWith little space to grow. I grew upwards. I used rose arches for squash and beans to climb up. Along with netting and chicken wire attached to the east and west fencing.
